Jerry Yang's Blunder - Worst Business Decision Ever?
The deal with Google would have been fantastic for Yahoo. I don't think Yang should be held responsible for the horrible decision made by the lawyers at the Justice Dept.

Yahoo President Defends Ad Pact with Google
All the deal with Google does is give Yahoo more options to make money. It's a good thing for Yahoo as well as Google.

      McCain's Economics
Obama is going to raise taxes on those making more than $250K per year. Then he will give that money tho those making less than $250K per year. That sounds like the economic plan of Robinhood, not one of an American President.

      Google: More Downside Up Ahead
I plan on buying one of the Android phones because of its open operating system. Eventually the amount of software available will exceed what is available for any competitor including Apple.

Microsoft Copping to $10 Million Seinfeld Mistake?
Bill Gates looked like such an "old man" in the shoe ad. I couldn't figure out what was the point of the ad. I didn't learn anything new about Microsoft. It seems like another Microsoft waste of money. Microsoft should take its ad budget and use it to pay dividends to shareholders.

Google and GE Announce a "21st Century" Electricity System
We cannot have a properly functioning economy without reliable sources of electricity. I am glad to see Google doing something to update our electric grid.

      Questioning Obamanomics
Raising taxes on some Americans and lower taxes for other Americans is not an effective economic policy. It is merely income re-distribution designed to "buy" votes. For all the talk about the cost of the Iraq war, Senator Obama will do nothing to reduce the budget deficit.

      Global Investors Fleeing Russian Market
Only an idiot would make a long-term investment in Russia. Putin killed a solid viable investment like Mechel (MTL) merely by speaking poorly of the company. Putin is screwing BP out of its investment. Putin is trying to restore the Soviet Union in which the rule of law depended on who was in charge on a particular day of the week.

Where Does Oil Go from Here?
I believe that world demand for oil will continue to increase as India and China continue to grow. However, I wonder to what degree demand for oil in America will decrease as Americans transition from SUVs to more fuel-efficient vehicles. If I sell my SUV and by a fuel-efficient car, my fuel consumption should drop by about 20%. If everyone in America did the same wouldn't that substantially decrease American consumption?

Russian Oil Exports: Dropping, But Why?
Any company investing in Russia, does so at its own risk. Putin's objective is to restore the Soviet Union. Companies trading with Russia should seek payment in the form of oil or oil equivalents. That would be one way to force Russia to increase its oil production.

Book Review: 'Greenspan's Bubbles' by Bill Fleckenstein
Greenspan raised rates too high in the 1990s and caused the internet bubble crash. He made up for it by lowering rates too low and keeping them too low in the early 2000s thereby causing the housing bubble and crash. Greenspan creatd his own language to make others think he was smarter than everyone else when in fact he was always the biggest idiot in the room.

The Issue of Trust is with Google, Not Viacom
Google is obligated to comply with Court's order. Viacom has filed one more frivolous law suit which is consistent with how Viacom built itself into an evil empire. Viacom is full of horrible people and Google is not at fault for that.
