Where Have All the Peak Oil Believers Gone?
Crude oil is down more than 50% from its high of $147 a barrel...

But oil-gas station prices are not down by 50%? Moreover, there were no corresponding increases or decreases in supply-demand in 2007-2008!

The greedy oil price hikers, believers, analysts and cheerleaders were led by top ten global oil companies who continue to loot consumers, fuel inflation and the recessionary credit crunch. This is nothing less than ENRON on a global scale.

Too Late for Newspapers to Turn the Tide?

MSFT’s Next Online Business Chief Will Need a Compass, and a Clue, in New Media
Bureaucracies like MSFT are often blind to what they see as peripheral supply-demand business ventures. MSFT's priority is to remain computer "gatekeeper" even as consumer software industry goes into descent, and online corporate advertising industry goes into ascent. I suppose it makes sense to remain a gatekeeper... tyneham.blogspot.com

Why the Online Video Business Is a Joke
Tedstr has made a number of valid point. Ash's analysis make sense, but would like to assess his detailed US $100m proposal to see how WatchMojo.com can help build a real monitize online video business. $100m equity implies a valuation of over $1.5 billion, and that remains hard to justify in terms of Tedstr's technical drawbacks, etc.

Why Yahoo! Isn’t Worth Anything To Management and Investors
Ashkan Karbasfrooshan assessment is right when he said Yahoo "makes the criminals at Enron, Worldcom and Arthur Andersen seem like shareholder activists". I will second it hereby, and challenge Yahoo to waste money on litigation in the UK courts all the way to judicial reviews and appeals. That may also apply to a number of other US outfits, including Google's scams related to Internet click fraud which is underestimated by web-traffic auditors. The fraud is deceptively downplayed by major financial beneficiaries and their small time accomplices or affiliates. Big or not, no online advertiser is immune from growing the fraud. There is mounting unease and concerns over the fraud on all websites that have affiliate programs. These serious, legal issues are not being addressed by the law makers in most countries.

By some logical estimates, click fraud could be over sixty percent. However, even one percent of $90 billion of global 2008-2009 Internet ad spend is too high, mainly because advertisers, big or small, are still deceived, overcharged by millions and thus defrauded every day.

Yahoo's on Life Support: Here's Why
114 Yahoo Executives gone since January 2007, and counting... The question is, do the out going or former directors have the guts to expose Yahoo and/or Google in a way that would help stop defrauding online advertisers every day?

According to a new report from Citigroup analyst Mark Mahaney, there is a huge opportunity ... to capitalize on the growing trend towards online display advertising in the US and abroad. He said display advertising in the US is expected to reach US $8.5-billion or 35% of total Internet advertising in 2008. By 2010, he said display, ads are expected to hit $11.2-billion in the US and $22-billion worldwide.

A decade is too long in digital technology. Citigroup analyst Mark Mahaney failed failed to assess the negative impact of Internet click fraud. Mahaney also overlooed the impact of regulatory scrutiny.

Daya Baran is right. "Yahoo is on life support". It may be too little, too late to avert crash landing, leaving "behind a trail of destruction. Microsoft offered Yahoo $44 billion and in the end, Yahoo surrendered to Google for pennies," in a pending deal that is being analysed by the US lawmakers and Justice Department.

Google Needs to Ramp Up Display Advertising - Citi

Mahaney also overlooed the impact of regulatory scrutiny. US Rep. Bobby Rush, D-Ill., Rep. Joe Barton, R-Texas, the Commerce, the Justice Department, Trade and Consumer Protection panel, the House Small Business Committee panel, the Senate Judiciary Committee’s antitrust panel, the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s Commerce, Trade and Consumer Protection panel and the Senate Commerce Committee and all law makers, for example, must also scrutinise the pending/proposed Yahoo-Google deal, and its impact on defrauded advertisers, big or small.

Internet fraud and the clutter would bring down search engine titanics. Consumers who don't like reading manuals cannot be expected to read zillions of cluttered web-pages, ads or not.
