Humm......I don't think the world will collapse if a terrorist attack happens and it can't be broadcast via the satellite emergence broadcast system. You must be against the merger!!!

Radio Is Doomed - Tear Down the Broadcast Towers
First, there was AM radio. Then FM was supposed to kill off AM. Then 8 tracks would be the end of radio, then Cassettes, CD players, digital music, Sat Rad and the I-Phone, which will kill everything. Wait till you get your I-Phone Bill. I hope there are no surprises! Sat Radio merger will kill terrestrial radio?
I do not believe this is the end of terrestrial radio. It will have its listeners. Besides, it will be the content that is transmitted or streamed or .....whatever....that will be successful rather than the type of vehicle that will be used to deliver it. Your Pizza Hut delivery man still brings you your pizza regardless of what type of car he is driving. Content is King BABY!!!!

Sirius-XM Merger Decision Delay Is Unacceptable
I heard a rumor that Mel is trying to work a deal with the Apple I-PHONE since it can be used to hack into satellite radio anyway. Has anyone heard anything about this?

Analysts Weigh in on Sirius Following Earnings
If the FCC would let them merge there will be tremendous subscriber growth. I have been waiting for the merger to go through before subscribing. I wonder how many others the doing the same. One year after the merger clears these regulatory hurdles, this company will be a cash-cow!!!

      CITI: $8 Target on Sirius
I do not think 55 M subs is unrealistic. I am waiting for approval and the new radios before signing up. How many other people are doing the same. With $7 a la carte programing many will join the SAT RAD craze. Almost every car in America will have a factory installed sat rad by and the $7 sub fee will decrease churn rates. New SATS will be launched in 2009 and 2010 so by 2011 55 M subs is realistic.

XMSR and Sirius: Bigger Problems Than FCC Approval
I have been and still am waiting for this merger to go through before I subscribe. I will subscribe so I can listen to baseball games, CNBC, and Stern while I am at work!! The critics are saying subscriptions are leveling off but how many of you are like me and are just waiting for the merger to be approved before jumping in!! I am betting my stock dollars there are millions of people waiting in the wings.
