      Ummmmm?

Any time you make a decision regardless of what it is based on you are being your own investor. Just like anytime you spend your time posting to a blog it makes you a Blogger not an expert. Some of us actually owned Goldman before Warren, why get jealous about terms that you could never obtain, who cares?

      Bond Expert: Friday Wrap
Ummm? ~I think the uninitiated after looking up the definition of 'clubbing' would still desire more insight. What does all this mean? Your post is like reading an excel spread sheet or a stock table. What is your interpretation? Share some of your professional insight with us...not just the facts. I would enjoy reading your analysis of all of this.

      Thank you

Why Kass Is Wrong About Berkshire Hathaway
Kass is just like everyone else, positive or negative using the internet to coattail someones real world notoriety. Write a blog post an bash Warren, same as if it were a Britney post on a celeb blog. Kass is alot smarter then his articles makes him out to be, especially were the derivatives are concerned he will most likely not receive the fame he is seeking in a more broader audience as the man who sold Warren. Its all a bit sad.

      Doug Kass's Killer Shorts - Barron's
Well doesnt look like Kass will be making a name for himself on his short BRK call. If you are wrong in the shor term with BRK you will always be wrong in the long term. Nice try Kass, looks like Warrens 400+ return will always be better then your 46. So much for your mainstream fame, too funny.

Is Berkshire Hathaway Now a Bargain?
Total short interest in BRK A+B is roughly 500+ million (59,000 B shares and 2,687 A shares), sort of a drop in the bucket compared to other short interests. Look at AAPL or GLD they have 2-3 billion in short interest and those stocks have risen 30-50% off their lows. I will still side with Buffet whose port investment has quadrupled in the same time period Kass has delivered 40%+

Is Berkshire Hathaway Now a Bargain?
This is the oldest written article in the book. Kass is like everyone else looking to get his name in the papers (before there are none left) Berkshire employs 200,000+ people pays tons of taxes, has a built in charity program for shareholders...Yeah lets live in a world where this is something we hope goes down. Kass's out look is free information available on the net, anything free on the net is as worthwhile as silly cat pictures.
Bottom line Berkshire has been adding a full zero to the end of peoples entire net worth for a looongtime anyone who wants to short it an scrape out a measily 20% and go to the golf course and brag about betting against Buffett I say enjoy it. Berkshire is receiving the identical media/analyst treatment that Apple has received in the last 4-5 months...look at the opportunity lose the media created there. I for one jumped into Apple and I continue to add to my Berkshire on a monthly basis as I have been doing for years.

Time for Rethink on Discount Retail?
Anyone who looks at option activity to guess which way a stock is going might as well be reading tea leaves. Option strike volume tells you nothing. You have absolutely no information what the option traders are doing in the underlying. Are they buying naked puts? Puts and stock? Which are calls by the way. Referencing option activity is the new blogger gimmick of the moment, it allows that extra bit of doom that bloggers think help drive up story hits.

      What Is Diversification Worth?
"Diversification is a protection against ignorance. It makes very little sense for those who know what they're doing."

Warren Buffet on Diversification. I have to say I agree with Warren, people diversify themselvse out of gains.

Apple Facing Serious Downside Risk - Morgan Keegan
Just bought two Macbook Pros, one for me one for my wife. Tossed our desktop and windows laptops. Even tossed our junky corner desk. Already saving $120 a year on Norton antivirus on all our computers...think Ill snag another Ipod with that savings for her as well.

PS I bought Apple shares for $13.75 when they made neon laptops that looked like toilet seats, these 2 laptops and an 80gb Ipod are my first products, they make $155 a share look a lot more attractive then those older products made $13 look!
