David is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Financial Risk Manager (FRM). He's Contributing Editor to Investopedia Advisor where he designed three portfolios that have returned an average +70% since inception (Jan 2005); his style is small cap technology (emphasis software) that combines top-down economic themes (e.g., ecommerce, elearning, rich media, XML) with rigorous fundamental due diligence.

He runs Investor Alternatives, LLC, which provides valuation (emphasis on derivatives) and quantitative consulting. He is president of Bionic Turtle, a financial certification exam preparation service. He is a part time software developer and object oriented programming (OOP) expert who gives seminars in OOP & Adobe Flash. He is interested in the application of XML to financial reporting.
